Providing a caring, safe environment for
Lee's Paws and Claws is a small, grassroots non-profit animal shelter located in Bourbon County, Kansas.
We provide temporary shelter to dogs and cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or who are in need of rehoming.
As a 501c3 non-profit, we rely on donations to cover our expenses. Through the generosity of Shirley Yeager Memorial Fund and the Marjorie Lee Weast Memorial Fund, we have built a modern facility. Income from these funds covers our property taxes, insurance, and utilities. We rely on donations to cover all other expenses such as food, medical care, spay and neuter program, equipment, office supplies and employees to maintain the facilities and clean the animal areas. We are not an open admissions shelter. If you have an animal in need of rehoming, please call the shelter to be placed on our intake list.
Join us Feb. 9th for Rotary's Dancing with Our Stars. This is a great way to support the shelter and our local community. Paws and Claws is hosting a Facebook fundraiser auction throughout the month of January to raise money for the shelter during this event. Visit our FB page for great deals on some fantastic donated items!
We are always looking for fundraiser help. If your group or organization would like to sponsor a fundraiser, please email us. In the meantime, visit our animals waiting for adoption at the shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 10-4.
